SCREW MACHINING OF A BRASS AIR INLET VALVE FOR THE COMMERCIAL TRUCK SEATING INDUSTRY
At Swiss Technologies, we have a proven reputation for delivering precision screw machined parts consistently, dependably, and at competitive prices, which made us the ideal supplier for the brass component shown here. Manufactured for a customer in the truck seating industry, this air inlet valve features intricate geometries and had a high volume requirement — which made our multi-spindle Davenport screw machine perfect for the job.
Machined from 3/8″ diameter 360 brass and having overall dimensions of 0.814″ in length and 0.359″ in diameter, this valve features a 0.035″ diameter hole that we precision drilled to within ± 0.0005″ tolerances. Having automated equipment and skilled machining technicians enabled us to accurately and repeatably machine the part from a single setup with fast cycle times, essential for meeting the delivery requirements for high volume production project.
Able to guarantee consistent quality, first part to last, one order to the next, won us a contract for manufacturing close to one million pieces annually. If you would like to learn more about this project or have a similar one and would like to discuss the details, contact us today.
