CNC TURNING OF A STAINLESS STEEL ADJUSTING CLUTCH LOCK PLUNGER FOR MEDICAL PROSTHETICS
At Swiss technologies, we have the capability to deliver precision screw machined parts finished according to a diverse range of requirements. We manufactured the stainless steel adjusting clutch lock plunger shown here for a customer in the medical prosthetics industry.
This part, machined from 416 stainless steel, featured overall dimensions of 2.970″ in length and 0.375″ in diameter. We utilized our precision Swiss lathes to automate the machining of the complex features which included external threads, a full radius end, 2 milled flats, as well as the angled barbs.
Automated processes enabled us to manufacture these components in a high volume within a short turnaround time, and current production levels stand at 45,000 units annually.
